General information
Zadar is located in the middle dalmatian region, city has around 80,000 inhabitants. Zadar is known to exist for more than 1500 years and used to be central trading point of Dalmatia. There are numerous museums, galleries in the old city part, also numerous churches and sacred locations like Cathedral of Saint Anastasia that is dating back to the 12th century, the Cathedral of Saint Anastasia is the largest church in Dalmatia.
Location
Zadar is located 200 kilometers from Split and 200 kilometers from Zagreb. It has very good car ferry connections with Split, Rijeka, Dubrovnik and even with Italy and Greece.
Airports
Zadar Airport is located 35 kilometers away from the city centre and can be reached by taxi.
Traffic
Traffic is very intensive in sommer months like in any other coastal town in Dalmatia. Alternative means of transportation in Zadar are bus and taxi.
